how does it work?
Our consultants will assist you and your staff in developing, planning and implementing a behavior management program in a one-day on-site leadership development workshop.

We provide an overview in the behavior management process to the administrator and management team and facilitate the team's decision-making process toward the development of a policy and procedure manual as well as a plan and schedule for implementing your behavior management program.

The workshop is a participatory program in that we facilitate dialogue among the participants to engage them in learning and preparing for program development. During the course of the day we elicit and discuss details about your facility practices to create a customized behavior management policy and procedure document. The consultant and your team generate this document as the workshop progresses, using a policy and procedure wizard.

By the end of the day, you and your behavior management team will have made all the decisions for your policy and procedure and will have a draft copy in hand. You will have created a plan of action for initiating behavior management, and you will be prepared to put your plan into effect. We also provide course materials and a trainer's guide for your in-service training of staff members.

Because the training is compressed into one day, we require that participants have completed either our basic or advanced behavior management course prior to taking the workshop.
